It was a warm end of summer day up in Snohomish, WA at the wedding venue Jardin Del Sol. The lush garden and tall trees created the most beautiful golden glow over the entire venue for Beth and Steph on their wedding day.
Getting Ready
Both Beth and Steph got ready together off site. Finishing up their hair and make up before heading over to Jardin Del Sol, then separately putting on their wedding dresses. Having never seen each other's dresses before it was going to be a first look for them both!
After leading first Beth out to the garden with my second shooter we then gathered Steph to surprise her soon to be wife for their “first look”. This is where the couple gets to see each other in their entire fully finished wedding attire! Often leading to an emotional and sentimental moment they can share privately before diving into the rest of the busy day. Taking as much time as they need to enjoy the moment we soon after toured the venue for some quick couple’s portraits! Full of swaying, laughing and kissing we captured these sweet moments of Beth and Steph before their ceremony. For those still planning their timeline I always recommend including couples portraits before the ceremony!
Ceremony
Walking down the aisle with both set of parents on either side was very important for the brides. The tradition of being given away by just their fathers didn’t quite resonate for the two and felt that having both parents to accompany them was much more symbolic for their actual relationships!
Joining each other under the fabulously decorated floral arch, with the pink green and white foliage, the colors around them popped even more as the sun just slightly dipped behind the tree line creating the most amazing golden glow. With sweet and personal individual vows the couple couldn’t help but let out all of their laughter and tears.
Reception
After the ceremony the couple went to sign their marriage certificate and then immediately jumped into the party! Their guests were joyously mingling and two family and friendships merged into one. Eventually it was time for everyone to begin finding their dinner seats. While guests meandered to their tables, Beth and Steph prepared for their grand entrance, with big grins, skipping in to the covered reception space!
The night then led to lots of dancing to Carly Rae! Finishing off the night around 10pm the newly weds and guests gathered on the party bus headed back to downtown Everett to keep the party going!
